RESERVATION POLICY

RATE & BOOKING INFORMATION

Rates quoted per room, per night, and a 6% Michigan sales tax will be added.

There is never a resort fee or any hidden fee at The Leland Lodge.

Our rates are based on occupancy levels and demand and the rates can and will fluctuate.

During the busy season (summer & fall), rooms and suites may have a three-night minimum stay required. Cottages have a seven, four, or three night minimum stay depending on the dates. Holiday weekends and other special event weekends may have an increased minimum stay requirement.

We have a strict No Smoking policy in The Lodge and in the three cottages.

The three cottages at The Leland Lodge are pet friendly with a $75.00 one-time cleaning/service charge.

There are no pets allowed in the main building at The Lodge except for one ground floor room – Room 101. That room has one King bed. This one pet-friendly room has a minimum night stay requirement, and this room must be booked over the phone.

DEPOSIT POLICY

A deposit of one night’s room and tax will be taken at the time of booking. A second deposit for the balance due will be taken at the time the reservation is no longer cancelable.

Check-In: 4:00 p.m.
Check-Out: 11:00 a.m.

PAYMENT TYPES

We accept Cash and Credit or Debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover).

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation policies vary depending on the month and dates of the booking.

Please review the policy stated in your reservation at the time of booking. That information will also appear in your confirmation email.

In general, the policies for individual bookings (not group bookings) will be:
Cottages: 60-Day cancelation policy
Rooms & Suites: High Season: 30-Day cancelation policy
Shoulder Season: 7-Day or 14-Day cancelation policy
Low Season: 3-Day cancelation policy

RESERVATION CANCELLATION PROCEDURE

To cancel a reservation before the cancellation date, call (231) 256-9848 x 2 or email us at brian@lelandlodge.com. Your cancellation is NOT confirmed unless you receive a written confirmation (email) from us confirming the cancelation. If you do not receive this cancellation confirmation email within 24 hours, you must re-contact us. This policy will help ensure that there is no misunderstanding as to whether your cancelation request was received and confirmed.

RESERVATION MODIFICATION POLICY

While reservations are always cancelable up until the cancelation deadline, reservations are NOT necessarily changeable. To alter the arrival date and/or the departure date and/or the room type from the original reservation, please contact us (231) 256-9848 or brian@lelandlodge.com and we will advise you whether such a change is permissible. All reservations have a minimum length of stay. If changes to existing reservation are disallowed, you would still be allowed to cancel the reservation IN ITS ENTIRETY although the above deposit and cancelation policies still apply.

ROOM ASSIGNMENTS

Reservations are for a specific room type (Standard King; Deluxe King; Deluxe Double Queen; Suite; 2BR Cottage, etc.) but not a specific room number. Room numbers will be assigned by the Director one day prior to arrival. Requests for specific room numbers will always be taken into consideration.

Deposit Assurance Fee (Optional)

A Deposit Assurance fee equal to 9% of the cost of your stay may be added to your reservation at the time of booking.
Paying this fee allows you to cancel a reservation in full or in part after your cancelation date, for any reason including no reason, and receive your full deposit back in the form of a gift certificate for a future stay including a refund of the deposit assurance fee. You do need to cancel the reservation seven days before your arrival day. The Gift certificate would be valid for two years beginning 30 days after your original arrival date.

If you decline the Deposit Assurance fee: If you cancel a reservation in full or in part after your cancelation date, for any reason including weather, health, family emergencies, etc. you will forfeit 100% of the cost of the entire stay. No refunds and no future credits/gift certificates will be issued.
Deposit assurance is not a travel protection/insurance policy and is designed to protect your deposit but does not guarantee room rates or room availability for your future stay
